Suroh
Born in Madrid, Jonathan Espinosa Minuesa spent his formative years immersed in the revolutionary 80s electronica scene, fascinated with the concept of using technology to blend rhythms and textures to create his own unique sound. He began his career in earnest at the tender age of sixteen, performing his music using a personal computer playing just four mono tracks of audio. Jonathan began work on the Suroh project in 2004, with the aim of blending the music of his flamenco roots with deep house cinematic electronica and exotic Middle Eastern sounds.
He put together a talented crew of musicians for recording sessions before taking time out to produce and engineer his masterpiece. The first single, Sentimientos, was released on the Blackwiz label in October 2005 to critical acclaim, even catching the attention of Sandy Rivera, who recently released remixes of the track himself.
Minology, Suroh’s debut album, was released in December 2009, the culmination of five years of hard work and dedication.
